The main quizmaster for the experienced division will be the National quizmaster, Brother Bobby Long. This is a great opportunity for you and your quizzers to become acquainted with details of how he conducts a tournament; how he reads questions, how he interprets verses and questions, and how he expects a quizzer to complete an interrupted question.
We will have a Beginner Division open to all quizzers 8 years or younger on January 1, 2009. We will also continue to have both the experienced and novice junior quiz divisions. The novice will be open to any teams with quizzers that are first year quizzers only. The material coverage for the Beginner Division will be through Luke 8:15 (46 verses). The Novice and Experienced Junior Divisions will quiz through Luke 10:6 (65 verses).
Quizzing will start at 3:00 on Friday, and we plan for everyone to quiz at least once that afternoon. We will break for dinner at 6:00 and will return promptly at 7:30 for a Holy Ghost Rally. This will be a children’s service similar to those held at Junior Extravaganzas and Junior Nationals. Our Rally Children’s Ministers will be Brother and Sister Urbanik from Ohio. The rally is open to everyone, not just quizzers. We are anticipating a packed house of children hungry to receive the Holy Ghost. In the past God has blessed and many children and even adults have received the Holy Ghost! Please unite with us in prayer and fasting that the Spirit of God will anoint the service and many of our children will be filled with the Holy Ghost and many others refilled.
The quiz day on Saturday will begin at 9:00 a.m. We anticipate completing the tournament and awards ceremony by 4:00 p.m. We are enclosing hotel information.
